Incident Report Request
An Incident Report is a record documenting the actions taken by Frankfort Fire Protection District personnel while on a call for service. There are two types of incident reports: Fire and EMS. Fire Incident Reports are subject to certain restictions as outlined in the Freedom of Information Act. EMS reports are subject to HIPPA and can only be released to the patient or individuals that the patient has designated with a properly completed release request.
The District utilizes the NIFRS reporting standard. The National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) is a reporting standard that fire departments use to uniformly report on the full range of their activities, from fire to Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to equipment involved in the response. The standard report that the District provides is the basic NIFRS report. In the event that the incident was for a fire, then the appropriate NIFRS fire module will be provided as well.
*Residents of the District are never assessed a fee for requesting copies of incident reports.
