Dear Friends, I am writing to ask you for assistance. I am a member of an awesome group of people that have come together to host a benefit for our sister, friend and instructor, Michelle Chaput. On July 17, 2008, at the age of 41, Michelle was diagnosed with breast cancer for the third time only this time it has spread to her liver and bones. Michelle is an incredible wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend now facing the fight of her life. Michelle grew up in Hometown, IL and graduated from Oak Lawn Community High School in 1985 as Michelle Myers. She was a volunteer fire fighter and an EMT for Hometown Fire Department. Sixteen years ago she met and married the love of her life, Mark Chaput, a fire fighter for the towns of Evergreen Park and Naperville. They have settled in New Lenox, where they are raising their sweet 11 year old son, Sean. Michelle's passion for fitness lead her to her second home at Body Tech Total Fitness Health Club in Mokena where she works as a class instructor and personal trainer. Michelle is a hero to all, staying fit and keeping up her active lifestyle through all 3 of her battles with cancer and chemotherapy. She gives her all in everything she does and inspires people to work hard and lead a healthy lifestyle. Remission can possibly be attained but the aggressive cancer can reappear at any time. Michelle is nearing her lifetime maximum health benefits and needs comfort in knowing that if and when her insurance runs out from battling this monster she can continue her treatments and take care of her family. It is time to be heroes to our hero! We invite you to join us at a benefit hosted by Michelle's family and friends in her honor on Saturday, May 2, 2009 with the goal of raising funds to help her with the financial burden she is now facing. We are asking if we could depend on you to donate a raffle or silent auction item for our fund raising benefit that we are expecting over 800 people to attend.
