The Frankfort Fire Protection District was formed in 1962 to provide fire protection to the residents. Today the District boundary serves approximately 50,000 people over 50 square miles and is a full time career department that staffs 5 fire stations. We serve the Village of Frankfort, Frankfort Township, Green Garden Township and a portion of the Village of Mokena.
The Frankfort Fire Protection District is a taxing governmental agency separate from the Village of Frankfort.
Our organization is not only measured by their successes, but by their ability to challenge, to embrace change and to trust that change is necessary in order to achieve success. The men and women of the Frankfort Fire Protection District do not stop to rest on their laurels; rather they continue to press on to achieve a high level of service excellence as well as delivery of service through professionalism and personality.
